First of all, great choice! The Bolzzen Atom Lite is an amazing Electric Scooter for those just starting out, or those just wanting to zip around short distances with ease. Here, we’ll give you the low-down on most of the common questions relating to the Bolzzen Atom Lite.

Motor

You’re going to be cruising around town thanks to a brushless 350W rear-hub motor with a peak power of 500W. Each Bolzzen Electric Scooter is configured with three gears. Similar to cars and motorbikes, the gears control the top speed of your Atom Lite. Unlike cars and motorbikes 100% of the torque and power is available in any gear. This means that when you pull the accelerator trigger, you will go with 100% of the Atom Lite’s power.

Battery

Powering the Atom Lite is a 38V 8Ah Lithium Battery. This battery will come to you with some charge from the factory. However, we always recommend that before you take off on your first ride, you connect it to the charger and give it a good 12-hour charge – just to make sure there’s enough juice to hit the full 30km range from the start.

Brakes

For the Atom Lite, there is a single rear drum brake to take care of stopping. Depending on your weight, height and the speed that you’re traveling (25km/hr restricted, 35km/hr unrestricted), your braking distance will change. Before going on your first adventure, please find a safe place to test out your brakes to find out how long it’ll take to stop you at varying speeds.

Protective Equipment

In most states and territories around Australia, you’ll be required to wear a helmet that meets Australian Helmet Standards whilst riding your Atom Lite. A friendly bit of advice from Bolzzen is to also make sure you’re always wearing flat, closed in shoes, long pants, a shirt with sleeves and good quality riding gloves.

Electric Scooters and Bikes are super fun, but at speeds 35km/hr+ your safety becomes a real issue. Ride safe, don’t be a squid (hard head, soft body).
